Long-Stay Checklist: What to Check Before Booking a Furnished Apartment in Nairobi
Share
Booking a furnished apartment for a few weeks or months is easier when you know what to check first. Use this checklist before you pay.
1. Location
Think about where you will spend your days. Westlands is close to offices and malls, Kilimani is lively and central, and Kileleshwa is quiet and leafy. See our guide to choosing between the three.
2. Space and bedrooms
Match the apartment to your group. One-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments are available, and each listing shows how many guests it sleeps.
3. Wi-Fi and a place to work
If you work remotely, check that the listing mentions fast Wi-Fi and a workspace, and ask us on WhatsApp if you need more detail.
4. Kitchen, linen and essentials
A full kitchen and bed linen should be included so you can settle in straight away.
5. Power backup, security and parking
These matter more on longer stays. Many of our apartments list power backup, and amenities such as a pool, gym or balcony vary by apartment, so read each listing page.
6. Price and payment
Check that the total for your dates is shown before you pay. Our rates start from KSh 5,500 per night for a one-bedroom, KSh 7,500 for a two-bedroom and KSh 10,000 for a three-bedroom, and you can pay by M-Pesa, MTN MoMo, Airtel Money or card.
7. A real person to talk to
Message our team on WhatsApp at +254 738 775335 before you book if anything is unclear.
